[Digimon 02] Remembering

Title: Remembering
Fandom: Digimon 02
Summary: AU; Taiora. Sora remembers her past as she wanders among the flowershop.
Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon. e-e;;

As she walked among the collection of flowers, she couldn't help but love the fragrences that the flowers emitted. A small smile appeared upon Sora's face as she let her fingers lightly touch the petals of the white lilies next to her. If there was one place that she would prefer to be more than anywhere else in the world, it was her mother's flowershop.

Sora didn't really know why or even how she began to love the flowershop like she did now, because she hated the place more than anything as a child. She would constantly make up excuses to avoid the shop, and had even made herself sick on purpose just so she could get out of working there.

But that all changed one day. Sora didn't remember the date all too well (all that she really remembered was that it was in the fall), but she didn't need to. Just smelling the flowers made her remember.

It made her remember of a time when she prefered to be outside, playing soccer with the neighborhood boys. Of a time when she was punished by working in the flowershop, even if she was sick. And it.. was because of that punishment that she truly learned to love the flowershop for what it was.

However, one love soon can replace another. As Sora began to spend more time in the flowershop, she began to spend less time outside. Nobody seemed to notice her absence from the field, really. The boys would play soccer as normal (Sora could see the field where they normally played at from the flowershop), and the neighborhood boys didn't miss her as much.

All except for one.

One of her best friends, Taichi Yagami, would hang out at the shop with her. He hated to be at the shop, she could tell, but he would be there anyways. When he was asked once why he would be there instead of playing outside, he would always reply that he always had time for soccer, but that he might not always have time for Sora.

It was.. well, an interesting answer. And it was one that always made Sora feel like she and Taichi were probably more than "just friends".

"Oy! Sora!"

Sora blinked, having been fully jolted back to reality with those words. She looked over at her fingers, which were still on the petals of the lilies. She shook her head, taking her hand off the flower.

"Coming, Taichi!" She called back, a smile appearing on her face once more. As Sora ran over to greet her friend, she couldn't help but notice that Taichi was smiling as well.

"Were you watching me this whole time?" Sora replied, letting a sigh escape her lips as she began to formulate theories on why her friend was smiling the way that he was.

He nodded, flashing a childish grin at Sora. "You looked too peaceful to bother, so I didn't even bother calling you until now." He looked down at her, blinking a little as he realized that he shouldn't have said those words.

But Sora didn't seem to mind, for once. "If you say so. Let's get going, then?"

He let a sigh of relief escape his lips. "Let's.." He replied, managing a rare smile. Tonight was certainly going to be interesting...
