It Takes Two: Chapter Six

He was a crazy guy, the townspeople said. Always engrossed in those crazy experiments that never ended up working; he said that he would find the solution some day, sure.
Guy, you may as well keep dreaming.
Then there she was. Everyone who was anyone knew who this girl was. She was the organized girl who always had a plan for every thing - if one thing went wrong, she would work like crazy to make sure it went okay again.
The thing was, she was only a child living in an adult's world.
Was it so weird, then, that the two most talked about children were starting to be seen together more often?
Yes, they were in the same class. They had the same teacher, and learned the same subjects. They traveled in the same social circles - the town was a small one, too.
It.. was just a weird concept, really.
The crazy guy with the organized girl. Who would have thought?
They say that the organized girl's slowly returning to her natural world of a child. But the people who say that must surely be crazier than the crazy child.
It's like fairies changed the girl's life, the adults would whisper. See, that's the crazy thought. Because, as everyone knows, fairies... don't exist.
Yet, there the two happy kids were, sharing waffles on a bench as if nothing had happened.
Maybe, that's how life should be. Nothing weird should be taken seriously; nothing normal should be taken lightly. The two children were an example of that, right?
So, why don't those adults listen to them? They just might learn a thing or two.
