Tori and her schooling was something I only considered when I re-read Red Robin, to be frank, since Tim runs off and globe-trots across the world to find Bruce (essentially, he pulls a Tori) - but in our 'verse, I don't feel like he could've done that with Tori's precedent. So then that led me to figure out how Tim would've dealt with the fall out (and of course, how that affected his heroing life) XD I'm clearly biased towards the boys here, so it makes sense that I'd be more attuned to how their lives were affected by the events in your fic-verse.
ALSO I don't think this graduation story is typical of American: I attended an all-girl's school (and Tim would've been in a private all-boy school, knowing Atlanta's horrid luck with public schools), so I based it off my experience. :|a Though I had no idea about NZ schools, so that's pretty cool! I had no idea Year 13 existed, for starters.
As for your nitpick... I'm actually aware of that. B) You know, I know, and Chloe knows... but I didn't think Tori knew, since Nate and Chloe never DID give the kids the full story, so TnT just cobbled together pieces from what they heard. (Granted I could be wrong and this could just be a nitpick thing, but I was actually conscious of the fact that they didn't meet until their mid 20's. I read the comic too xP)
YEP C&C GOT MARRIED!! It was not an Elate reference in the least - Tori would've been more mortified, I feel.
As for Jason's helmet, it kind of is XD He had some spectacularly bad art around 2005 or so, leading to nicknames like "Condomhead" and it's a thing in the fandom? I just feel like it was something Tori would've noticed.
Everything she gropes turns out awkward?
fkdsjh accurate enough! I just really liked the idea of Tori's love interests and Tim's supervillains overlapping... The ones that make sense for overlapping, anyways.
On one hand I'm like, oh no Tori you idiot (my characters why), on the other hand I am also impressed he remembered and that he's okay with it. ;;
It kind of takes one to know one XD Jason's not the type to put labels on things either, so he's more than okay with it (and if they end up being endgame, their marriage would've been because Elate and Bruce went, "... you really need to put a ring on it :/").
ngl I really do think Tori's running away drastically altered how Tim looked at the world (which is great from a literary perspective since, hilariously enough, it ends up being the same viewpoint he had in canon) and how he goes into relationships - while he still worships Russ to an extent, he's more reluctant to trust people, and that's always been interesting to watch.
I'm glad you enjoyed this, btw! I was honestly worried since I do focus more on Tim (and Russ to an extent - I suspect Russell changed his middle name after his conversation to Islam, since "Christopher" doesn't go well in those circles), but it worked out nicely. ♥
