"Sora?"
It was mid-afternoon. The children were still playing soccer at the park, and the children were still swinging on the swings. However, two children - well, thirteen year olds to be precise - weren't playing on the swings today.
"Hellooooo? Earth to Sora?"
Sora blinked. The auburn-haired girl sweatdropped as she realized who was calling her. "Taichi... remind me why I'm with you again?" She asked politely, giving a sweatdrop as she spoke.
"You don't want to be with me? Yamagi Taichi, the guy who plans to become the best soccer player in the whole wide world? Aw, Sora.. are you trying to hurt my feelings on purpose?" Taichi gave a pout, crossing his arms as he spoke. The goggle boy didn't seem to be used to having one of his best friends talk to him in that matter, so he did what he naturally did best - speak what was on his mind.
Sora, on the other hand, seemed to be rather amused by her friend's behavior. "Ne, it's not like that..." She admitted, smiling sheepishly as she spoke. "Rather... it's because we were supposed to meet everybody else here, weren't we? Did we come early or something?" Sora's voice seemed to echo her worried expression as she spoke. The auburn-haired girl rose from her position, and began to pace in a circle.
"Were we too late? Did everybody else leave without us? Did Jou-kun become sick again? Did Mimi-chan go to the mall instead? Is Yamato-kun in charge of Hikari-chan and Takeru-kun again? Did he make Hikari-chan cry again? Is Takeru-kun comforting her? Is---" Sora's long list of worries was cut off by Taichi, who had merely placed his finger on the girl.
"R-E-L-A-X. That spells relax, which is probably what you should do. Everybody's going to come here - eventually..." Taichi trailed off, looking down at the ground as he spoke.
"They're never going to come, right?" Sora remarked, seeming amused as she pried Taichi's hand off of her mouth.
"...Yeah, they're not going to come here. Actually, I brought you here because I wanted to show you something." Taichi's face brightened, seeing as the goggle boy's heavy weight was finally lifted off of his chest.
"...Show me something?" Sora echoed, blinking as she whispered those words. Wind rushed past the girl as she finished speaking the last syllable, and was somehow heavy enough to float her up in the air by a few inches.
Taichi, on the other hand, seemed to be... happy? The goggle boy extended his arms to touch Sora's, and he let out a laugh as hundreds of butterflies came and flew around the auburn-haired girl.
"The butterflies love you, Sora.." He spoke cheerfully, though his eyes were telling a completely different story. His chocolate brown eyes gazed down at the auburn-haired girl, showing a look that clearly showed affection. But in the blink of an eye, it disappeared and was quickly replaced with Taichi's usual cocky grin.
"...Y-yeah, they do. Is this what you wanted to show me?" Sora held out her finger to let a butterfly perch on it. The girl let out a giggle as she watched it, only to see it fly away in a matter of seconds.
"...Yep! Isn't this place really cool, Sora?" Taichi replied somewhat proudly as he sat down on the grass. He then extended his legs so that he had one of his legs straight down, but had the other crossing over it. As he adjusted his goggles, Taichi didn't notice Sora - along with the butterflies - come and sit down next to him.
"Yeah, this place is amazing. Thanks for showing me this place, Taichi."
Taichi looked away to avoid Sora's gaze. Sora, however, had caught a glimspe of Taichi's face - and she was amused. Was Taichi.. actually blushing? If he was, then this was certainly news to her.
"No problem, Sora.. I'm glad that you enjoyed it." Taichi let his right hand down on the ground. The goggle boy let out a sigh as he finally looked up to the sky. The sun was setting already..?
Sora placed her hand ontop of Taichi's, though her face was a mild shade of pink by this point in time. "Yeah, I'm glad that I enjoyed it too.." She admitted, smiling as she glanced over at the goggle boy.
...Thanks, Taichi...
