Original: Classes + Superstar

More original stuff. ♥ These are mostly bits that would happen during my novels, if I ever get around to finishing them.

Title: Classes
Fandom: Band [Original]
Pairing: Hinted Skyler/Min
Claimer: Mine. o.o

She'd see him in the halls and wave.

He would catch her wave and grin in response. No matter how popular Skyler Blake had become during his time at St. Mochta's, his heart was stolen away already. Walking next to her with that grin still on his face, he asked, "So, Min. What's up?"

"Um, nothing much," She responded, her grip still on her school books. "I have English next. You?"

"Gym," He groaned, motioning to the bag in his hands. "I can't wait 'til high school, when I can finally skip it."

She blinked. "Skip gym...? How is that possible?"

"You didn't know? In ninth grade, you can earn Gym credit just by playing in a school sport. Though spring soccer doesn't count..."

"Hey, I don't play a sport," She retorted with a grin. "I'm gonna be stuck in that class all year."

He leaned in to ruffle her hair. "And that's why I like you, yanno."

Her face immediately turned red (or was it a pale shade of pink?) "S-Sky!"

"Heh," He laughed. "Same ol' Min-Min. Have fun at class, okay?"

With that, he waved. And they parted ways for the next forty-five minutes.

Title: Falling While You're Ahead
Fandom: Dare [Original] and Untitled [Original]
Summary: Why did they disappear? They had such bright futures.
Claimer: Really, this is all mine.
Notes: Carlin and Shirley are both from Dare. While Rylan makes a cameo in Dare too, he's going to be a major character in another novel I had plans for. It'll either be a sequel to Dare, or something completely different all together - I'm not sure.

Popular teen actors weren't supposed to quit during their prime. Not when the entire world had their eyes on them - not when they were called "retarded" by their normal peers in jealousy and "amazing" by little kids. They still had roads open in front of them that they could follow; they had fans who stood by them the entire time.

The first to fall had been Carlin Blair. Known for the boy next door on Peachtree Road, he had captured teens' hearts with that flawless smile and prep boy appearance. While rumors were still floating around about his relationship with Shirley Taylor, he had mysteriously... disappeared eight months ago. And he hadn't come back to Hollywood since then.

Not that the tabloids weren't aware. They ran stories on how he must've been kidnapped, and how everyone needed to go search for him. (What they conveniently forgot was to mention this was all so that they could get more dirt on him; no paparazzi was human in Hollywood's eyes)

Carlin himself was aware. The brunet, however, wasn't speaking. He would see the magazines on his way back from school, laugh at their outlandish lies, and move on with his life.

There was more to his life than being Hollywood's newest pawn.

Then there was Shirley Taylor. Best known for her various roles as the damsel in distress, she was that perfect blonde. She could sing, she could dance... she was that triple-threat that Hollywood was so fond of. The irony about her?

She constantly refused roles that got in the way of her charity work. Rumors even spread about how she was so obsessed with repairing the world that she wouldn't even act some days - she was too busy tutoring refugees from Sudan or giving abandoned race horses shots.

Of course Shirley knew about the rumors. Her former boyfriend, Carlin, had started them on her behalf. What the world didn't know about them, however, was that every single one of them was true.

If she could restore her community to its former glory and splendor, then her job was done.

Both Carlin and Shirley disappeared off the face of the Earth, though Shirley's had been more recent. If it had been just these two, then Hollywood could have simply made up reasons for them; Carlin was a secret drug addict (though this one was so not true!) and Shirley had given up her life to be a organ donor (plausible, but way too far-fetched).

Unfortunately, a third one had followed suit. Rylan Willams, that cold, icy student council president on Time Everlasting, had too fallen off Hollywood's radar. Of the three, he had the most promising future in Hollywood - he was blond, he didn't care much for the environment in reality, and he had done the most publicity stunts to get his name out there.

Yet, he went on a cross-country train ride this summer. And he had never come back.

And no one could explain this one. If he had died from the train, even that would have been reported back to them. These incidents had left their managers completely and utterly befuddled. Who on earth would be so stupid to leave their bright futures?

The answer was simple: they weren't. Carlin followed his original future in Everwood, NC, living a normal high school life with his family and girlfriend. Shirley headed back to Michigan and continued to head more charity work. Rylan, too, went back to his family and friends back in Florida to live out his dreams.

Maybe it is better to fall out while you're ahead. These three certainly thought so.
