It Takes Two: Chapter Nineteen
Oh, man, it must seem like I'm spamming up my friends' pages since I'm posting so much lately. x__x I'm really sorry if I am, everyone.
But uh.. Precure goodness this time? So yay?
Title: Lessons
Fandom: Yes! Precure 5
Pairing: Coco x Nozomi

Lesson. Noun. "An experience, example, or observation that imparts beneficial new knowledge or wisdom."
She couldn't cook.
Coco (or was it Kouji?) watched her from a safe distance, leaning against the counter. It was true that he had (reluctantly!) offered her baking lessons, but would they work on her?
For, despite her tremendous concentration and cheerful smile that would never fade, Nozomi Yumehara was known to be the worst chef in her class.
Nevermind that she couldn't sew... or act... or piece a quilt together, either. The point was that Coco had been coerced into giving her lessons, and they didn't seem to be working.
Her arms just wouldn't let go of the bowl. She stirred up a storm from the batter; her face held such determination that even Coco respected her now.
"Nozomi," He began, starting to walk over to her.
Nothing came out of her mouth. He continued to walk forward.
"Nozomi."
Still nothing.
"NOZOMI!"
She jumped, the batter nearly falling all over them both. Laughing nervously, she finally looked up at him. "Did I do something wrong, Coco?"
He sweatdropped. Oh, there were so many things he could say - how her batter wasn't supposed to be full of air pockets, how the oven looked like it was about to explode...
Instead, he found himself oddly laughing. "...Yeah, sorry. Would you like me to try and help?"
Stubborn Nozomi let her guard down. She meekly nodded, thrusting the bowl in front of him. "Yes... Coco, could you show me?"
He grinned. "Yeah. It's really easy once you learn how."
"Only for you," She retorted, returning that sly grin.
"And the rest of the world," He added, setting the bowl down. "Now, here's how to correctly stir this batter..."
He instinctively placed his hands on the whisk, and began to stir. She tilted her head to the side, watching him with curiosity.
She blinked, looking as Coco (though with a red face) put her hand under his; the two stirred the batter together, albeit quite shakily.
"...Coco?"
He blinked. "Hm?"
Her face's shade of red matched her hair quite nicely, Coco noted. Yet.. she bowed, her face holding more admiration for him than in the past.
"Thank you!"
"Y-you're welcome," He replied, looking away slightly.
She laughed. "Hehe, Coco... your face is all red."
"So is your's," He answered, yet it sounded more good-natured than anything.
Nozomi took her cue, awkwardly pouring the batter into the baking pan. Just as the two finished the first batch, the girl surprised him by washing up the various pots and pans.
But that was just merely a surprise.
When Nozomi left the room, stopping by to give him a quick peck on the cheek.. she had given more than a surprise. She had left her teacher completely and utterly dumbfounded.
