[TMM - K] Baking Session

A loooooong over-due present for Tsu-chan. Hope you like it. ^^

Title: Baking Session
Fandom: Tokyo Mew Mew - Kokoro
Pairing: Kimiko/Keiichiro
Disclaimer: The only thing I own is the story. ^^;; Kimiko is Tsu's, Keii and TMM belong to Reiko Yoshida and Mia Ikumi.

"You know I can't cook."

So much for a simple discussion in the kitchen, eh? Cafe Mew Mew was as it always was - noisy, loud, and chaotic.

And when Kimiko Shuuji was mad, most people knew it was time to clear out of the kitchen. After all, who'd want to deal with childish behavior coming from.. well, an adult?

All the other cafe members had to say was 'Poor Keii'. The only one who could manage to deal with her like this was none other than Keiichiro Akasaka, though it was subtly clear that she was wearing down his nerves too.

"But it would be nice if you could, right?" The adult pointed out, smiling as he always did.

Kimiko pouted. "Why do you have to make me cook? You know very well that I can't cook to save my own life. Soa..."

Instead of giving in, Keiichiro calmly opened up a cookbook, scanned it, and began to gather the ingredients. "We'll be making a vanilla cake today. You know how it's made, right, Shuuji-san?"

She couldn't rebel any longer, and she knew it. Nodding, she looked over at the cookbook with him.

"Tab tried to teach me once, but it ended in failure," She commented.

Keiichiro sweatdropped. "Well, we'll try and make it work this time. First, pour in one cup of sugar."

Taking a measuring cup from the drawer, Kimiko did as she was told. Measuring one cup of sugar, the rabbit mew mew poured it into the mixing bowl.

"Next, take one cup of margerine."

More obeying came. As the ingredient list continued, all the twenty-one year old did was simply listen to her instructor, never straying from the narrow as she normally would have done.

Finally, her unusually good behavior was rewarded. As the cake batter was poured into the baking tin, a small smile was on her face.

"So, how long do I bake it for?" She asked.

Taking the baking tin and placing it in the oven, Keiichiro smiled slightly. "Just 30 minutes with it being 350 degrees." He replied, showing the other adult how to set the timer and heat.

Kimiko nodded, repeating his example. "Like this?" She inquired.

He gave her a thumbs-up. The two began to clean up the mess they had made, waiting for the cake that they had baked together. Kimiko had to admit something, though.

Being taught to cook wasn't as bad as she had made it out to be.. maybe, just maybe... next time, she would agree to be taught how to cook.

"Hey, Akasaka-kun?"

Keiichiro looked up from his cookbook. "Yes?"

"Will.. you teach me how to cook something a bit more fancy next time?" She asked, smiling a little bit.

And then, she could have sworn that Keiichiro was smiling a real smile at her..
