Summary: A date with Roy ends with an unexpected surprise...
A dap of lipgloss here, a smear of blush there.
Sarah Cohen (known to some as Hana Shimizu) stood in front of her flower-shaped vanity, dabbing make-up in front of her mirror. It wouldn't hurt if she used some to make her features stand out some more, right?
"Cooooooooora! Hurry up!"
She sweatdropped. Had she really taken that long to get ready..?
Opening her bedroom door and walking down the stairs, the blonde managed a smile at whoever was in the room (mainly her half-sister, since she heard her voice).
"I am sorry that I took so long..?"
Sarah blinked, glancing around the room. She could have sworn that she had heard her half-sister's voice, but... she wasn't downstairs.
And really... neither were the other residents. The cafe was eerily silent for once.. and it wasn't a noise Sarah was used to, either.
"Hey, it's fine.. let's just go before they realize anything."
Roy waved in her direction as he came up to her, dressed in.. well, something at least more formal than his usual attire. Tugging on the color of his polo, he sent her a grin.
"Y-yes, Roy. Let us go.."
Her face wasn't supposed to be this red. Had it... ever been this color before with him around?
Roy didn't seem to care (or notice). As he opened the door and held it as his date went through, she couldn't help but notice that there was a faint tinge of red on his face.
Was he just as nervous as she was?
As the orange-red haired teen followed her in step (and eventually walked side-by-side with her), it was quiet.
Roy didn't seem to mind the quiet. Tugging slightly on her hand, the mage smiled slightly.
"Hey, Sarah. There's something I thought you'd like to see."
Sarah blinked. "Roy..?"
She didn't have time to say anything more, for Roy had taken her hand and was beginning to lead her somewhere. She didn't know why, but she was beginning to like this feeling.
If he could lead her everywhere... and he was her guardian...
"Well, here we are."
His voice jolted her back to reality. Her eyes opened to see the park, drenched in the fine lights meant for a festival.
Fireflies began to surround her, and would have probably lifted her in the air if she was any lighter. Sarah couldn't help it - she giggled.
Roy's eyes twinkled, and he too let laughter escape his lips.
"Like it?" He asked good-naturedly.
Sarah nodded, walking over towards him... and planted a kiss on his cheek.
"I love it."
